Merry Christmas and Miscellany
Well it's time to wish both my readers a Merry Christmas. The Wellington Summer continues to be rather a lack of inspiration, but most of us can look forward to some days off ahead.
I haven't been able to update for a while, so here are a couple of miscellaneous thoughts.
One fine very early morning recently I lay in bed wondering why the birds were tweeting away furiously at each other as soon as there was a hint of light. The conversation between the bird-brains probably goes something like this:
"Oh, the night is ending and a day coming - what a surprise!"
"So it is! What shall we do today?"
"I know - let's go find some worms and grubs to eat!"
A bit similar to my mate's goldfish, as he told it. "It would swim up to one end of the tank, it's mouth would gape and he would say "Ooh! I haven't been up here before" and then swim to the other end and do the same thing ad infinitum..."
Whilst my thoughts are with the poor young lady who was crushed by her dying horse at Pencarrow a month ago, I couldn't help but be tickled to read in the news "she was in a stable condition." Groan!
Later!
